Partnering with your primary physician, a nursing supervisor is available to develop a care plan designed to accelerate recovery and maintain independence within the comfort of home. In addition to managing your specific case, each nurse serves as a health educator, advocate, and community resource specialist to meet individual requirements.
New York State Department of Health certified aides assist with everyday health-related home care tasks such as well checks and therapy exercises. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, each skilled aide follows a care plan that allows our clients to remain comfortable and safe at home.
The Personal Care Aide (PCA) is an auxiliary health care worker who helps maintain each client's health status under a registered nurse’s supervision. Duties may also include household assistance and routine personal care services.
In addition to helping with health care needs, our highly qualified companions are available to lend an experienced hand with many of the everyday tasks of living, including: bathing and dressing; meal planning, preparation and serving; housekeeping; laundry; shopping and errands; and friendship and support.
Independent also provides free consultation and reminder calls as needed, while regularly keeping family members informed of how their loved one is doing through periodic updates.
